SPORTING Keighley may have had the odd cup success this season but they are in a precarious position in the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Premier Division.

Their 3-1 defeat at home to Skipton LMS was their eighth straight league reverse, and they are only above Cross Hills, who are in a relegation place, on goal difference.

Jinaid Taj scored Sporting's goal and their man of the match was Daniel McComb.

Cross Hills conceded seven at home to Pendle Renegades and only replied through Will Lockyer and a George Skocki own goal.

Sporting Keighley now know their quarter-final opponents in the Northern Plant Hire Trophy.

They will be at fellow Premier Division side Grassington United, who won their third-round tie 8-1 at Carleton.

In Division One, cellar dwellers Oxenhope Recreation have conceded 78 goals in 17 matches.

Their latest setback was by 11-1 at Skipton Town, with Connor Pepper getting their only goal and Luke Snowden taking the man of the match award.

Broomhill Reserves beat Cowling Reserves 3-2 in Division Three, thanks to goals by Mark Hardman, man of the match David Spence and Michael Turner, with Jack Sedgwick getting one of the replies.
