KEIGHLEY will celebrate a special anniversary on Wednesday, April 26.

An audience with Leeds United's Real Class of 92, 25 years to the day since they won the old First Division championship at the expense of bitter rivals Manchester United , is being held at Victoria Hall.

The following evening there will be a black-tie dinner at the Centenary Pavilion at Elland Road.

Attending both events will be the then Leeds United manager Howard Wilkinson and players Gary McAllister, Mel Sterland, Tony Dorigo, Steve Hodge, Jon Newsome, Chris Whyte and Rod Wallace.

Each of the players will be interviewed individually before 'Sergeant Wilko' gives an insight into the 1991-92 season and the key moments that won the whites the title.

There will then be a question-and-answer session, plus two videos of that season.

Mick Speight, managing director at MJK Sports Events, which is organising the Keighley bash, said: "We've had this in the schedule for more than two years and it's an honour to be able to do it."

Leeds supporters are being encouraged to get involved on social media with the build-up to the Keighley evening by posting their memories of April 26, 1992, using the #realclassof92 hashtag.

The Centenary Pavilion dinner will raise funds for the trust founded in memory of the late Leeds midfielder and 1992 title winner Gary Speed.

Tickets for the Victoria Hall evening are £20 and can be ordered on 07414-960956 during office hours.
