OXENHOPE were no match for a ruthless Robin Hood side.
They found themselves one down in the first ten minutes when the visitors headed home from a corner.
Rec created some half-chances but failed to break through and were punished on the half-hour mark when their defence failed to track a Robin Hood striker's run from a free-kick and he was left with a tap-in.
Athletic were in complete command by the break as a direct free-kick was drilled into the top right corner for a 3-0 interval lead.
Robin Hood continued where they left off with a fourth early in the second half following a sharp passing move and calm finish.
And they made it five in the dying minutes with a curler into the top corner.
Chris Bosley-Yemm, Jack Fisher, Stephen Hancock (2) and Brian McIlear were on target for the visitors.
