WITH the new season just two weeks old, only two teams in the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division – Littletown and Golcar United – have won all of their games.

Littletown were due to play at Wakefield City last night, but the heavy rain that hit many places in West Yorkshire in the morning flooded the West Yorkshire Sports & Social Club ground.

On Saturday, Littletown are at Thornton United, while Golcar will meet last season’s champions Lower Hopton, who after being beaten 10-3 last weekend by Salts, bounced back last night to claim a 3-2 home win over Lepton Highlanders.

Both Salts and Steeton had to come from behind at half-time to claim draws – Salts 2-2 against Campion and Steeton 1-1 with Wibsey.

Salts will entertain Wakefield City on Saturday, with Campion, Wibsey and Steeton all playing in Huddersfield – at DRAM Community. Britannia Sports and Honley, respectively.

Route One Rovers, who will be playing away from home until cricket finishes at their Esholt ground, are at Lepton Highlanders.
