SALTS, who put ten past last season's West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division champions Lower Hopton a week ago, have continued their scoring spree.

After being behind to a Rob Bloomfield goal for visitors Wakefield City at half-time, Jonny Cunningham, Richard Magson and Sam Waterhouse all netted braces for Salts in the second half in a 6-1 win.

They move up to second place, a point behind leaders Golcar United, who, with a 5-3 victory at Lower Hopton, made it for wins from four.

Steeton were also among the goals as an Andy Briggs treble, assisted by Alex Yates, Graham Holmes, Joseph Flaherty and an own goal, returned from Honley with a 7-2 success.

Littletown dropped their first points of the season when they were held to a 4-4 draw at Thornton United.

Joe Jagger (2), Matthew Bugg and Kieron Senior scored for Littletown, while Luke Hepton (3) and Danny Walker were on target for Thornton.

Route One Rovers, who are fifth, level on ten points with Salts, Steeton and Littletown, returned from Lepton Highlanders with a 5-2 success, Waheed Khan, Mohammed Khan, with braces, and Omar Farooq being on target.

Wibsey, who beat Lower Hopton on the opening day, picked up their second victory with a 3-2 win at Britannia Sports, Josh Northin, Daniel O'Donnell and Joe Brooksbank hitting the target after Paul Hebie and Seb Avery had scored for Britannia.

Halifax-based Ovenden West Riding, who took last season out of the league to reform and move to a new ground, have kept most of their Premier Division team from two seasons ago and continue to set the pace in Division One.

Their latest victory was by 9-1 at home to TVR United, with John Booth netting six times to add to one each from Scott Eastwood. Martin Woodhouse and Damian Randall, with Arron Abbass netting TVR's consolation.

West Horton were also in goal-scoring mode, with Ryan Sampson (4), Mahmood Sharaz (2), and James Chadwick (2) adding to strikes from Ahmeed Sameer, Chibit Tichooha and Kashyf Qureshi as Lower Hopton Reserves were dismissed 11-3.

Salts Reserves are third, two points adrift of Ovenden West Riding and West Horton, after beating Golcar United Reserves 2-0 with strikes from Ryan Buguslawski and Andy Sadowskj.

Huddersfield-based Unita were also among the goals, beating Hunsworth 11-1.

Steeton Reserves proved too strong for visitors Overthorpe with a 5-1 victory, and Bradford picked up their first points of the season with a 2-0 win at Tingley Athletic.
