COWLING are out of the Craven League Premier Division relegation places after notching their second win of the season.

Their 6-2 victory at cellar dwellers Sporting Keighley lifted them from ninth to sixth, with goals coming from Luke Barker (3), Jack Diamond, Tom Palmer and substitute George Sellars.

Sporting, whose man of the match was Shazad Khan, have now lost all six of their games.

At the other end of the table, leaders Silsden Whitestar made it seven wins out of seven with an 8-1 home victory over Manningham Allstars.

Man of the match Joshua Metcalfe (3), James Wilson (2), Andy Kay, Gavin Shearer and Josh McNulty were on target for Whitestar, who are eight points ahead of Grassington United, who have a game in hand.

In Division One, Cononley Sports led 2-0 at half-time at Bradley, but were pushed all the way before triumphing 5-4.

James Robinson (2), Vincent Grant and Joe Stapleton netted for the eighth-placed losers as Cononley jumped from seventh to fifth.

Silsden Whitestar Reserves almost matched their first team, scoring seven without reply at Barnoldswick Barons in Division Two.

Braces for Simon Cox and Ryan Narey were added to by man of the match Zac Conway, Brad Fay and Kris Hinks for the fifth-placed visitors.

Cross Hills Reserves, buoyed by a Jack Wrigglesworth brace, are up from fifth to third on the back of a 3-2 victory at Otley Town in Division Three, but Broomhill Reserves are seventh after a 2-1 defeat at Horton, with Tyler Brigg getting the consolation goal as Paul Wilkinson picked up the man of the match award.

Sutton's excellent 1-1 draw at Cowling Reserves was enough to take them off the bottom.

Mickey Ruddock netted for the visitors, with Callum Lowe scoring for the second-placed hosts.
