CROSS Hills remain bottom of the Skipton Body Repair Centre Craven League Premier Division after an extraordinary 8-4 defeat at mid-table Rolls.
They found themselves 3-0 down at the break but discovered their shooting boots in the second half. Unfortunately they failed to protect their own goal and found themselves on the wrong end of a 12-goal thriller.
They are now five points adrift at the foot at the table, with relegation looming ever closer.
Cowling inched their way up into sixth place after a hard-fought draw at home to Sporting Keighley. Both sides netted in the second half, Luke Barker scoring for Cowling and Jinaid Taj for Keighley.
In the quarter-final of the Division One Cup, Broomhill ran a strong Carleton side close in an absorbing contest. They eventually succumbed 5-3 and will now be left to focus on improving their mid-table league position.
Cononley Sports bowed out in the first round of the Division One Cup, suffering a comprehensive 4-0 home defeat to Settle United Reserves.
Bradley faced a tricky league fixture and were well beaten away from home by high-flying Rolls Reserves, with the game finishing 3-0.
Silsden Whitestar Reserves moved back to the top of Division Two after a narrow 2-1 away victory over AFC Barnoldswick. Their goals came from Zac Conway and Bradley Fay.
Sutton remain second-bottom of Division Three after a tough away fixture at league leaders Burnley Belvedere. They slipped to a 4-1 defeat with Shaun Bell grabbing their consolation goal.
