LONG Lee's Lee Humphreys, who felt unwell while batting, has suffered a mild heart attack, according to team-mate Mark Day.
After coming in at the fall of the first wicket at home to Thornton in the Craven League Division Two clash, the former Oxenhope, Keighley and Ingrow player had advanced to 27 in a decent stand with Matt Taylor before retiring.
Wicket-keeper Day said: "He had been batting for about an hour before he came off.
"Lee sat on the sidelines in the fresh air and had a glass of water, but after about 20 to 30 minutes one of the players' girlfriends decided to drive him to Airedale Hospital.
"They have kept him in and done all the tests and checks on him and he has suffered a mild heart attack but he has been inundated with well-wishers and is back to his usual chirpy self."
Taylor (64) and Richard Ayrton (50) helped Long Lee to 235-7 and the visitors were then dismissed for 76, with No 11 Brian Laycock not batting due to a foot injury.
