JAMIE Rowell gave a man-of-the-match performance as Haworth upset the odds by winning their Mewies Solicitors Craven League First Division derby at home to Oakworth.

He was the fourth bowler used by his brother Damian but took 7-38 as the joint leaders collapsed from 113-4 to 138, of which opener Gareth Marshall scored 60.

Haworth then lost only one wicket in passing their target in the 39th over, Rowell completing a fine day by scoring 66 not out and Dan Trowers 48 not out as they put on an unbroken 96.

Joint leaders Ingrow St John's did not falter, however, dismissing Riddlesden for 122 in another derby, Farhaan Abassi taking 4-20 and Wasim Hussain 3-40 as six visiting batsmen reached double figures, the highest of which was No 7 Goher Ayoub with 23.

Abassi made 39 in the reply but the Saints were seen to their seven-wicket victory by opener Deepal Dissanayake with 58 not out in just 20 overs.

Only three Sutton batsmen reached double figures at Beckfoot Lane as third-placed Bingley Congs dismissed them for 83, with Chris Walker top-scoring with 23 as Neil Copping returned the impressive figures of 9.4-7-5-5, backed up by Matt Roberts (3-37).

This was in reply to Congs' 152, Justin Holdsworth bagging 6-36 as Aussie Tom Mackenzie scored 50 and Josh Nutting 34.

Jim O'Hara bagged the opening four Haworth Road Meths batsmen on his way to 4-38 out of 221-9 but Crossflatts' creditable reply of 198-9 was not enough, despite 45s from Nathan Bradbury and Vikram Bakshi and 33 from wicket-keeper Dom Bennett.

Batsmen did not make much impact for promotion-chasing Cowling as they only made 128 in the Second Division, with Ajmal Choudhry scoring 39 before they collapsed from 93-2.

Luke Pickles snared 4-46 for Denholme, who romped home by seven wickets in 25.2 overs, with Ben Burkill unbeaten on 59.

Matt Lloyd was in the runs again for Glusburn but his 84 provided more than half of their 165-9 as they recovered from 41-5, adding 99 for the sixth wicket with Nick Williamson (29) as Jack Ellis took 4-32 and Tom Fothergill 3-31.

However, Oakworth Seconds won by four wickets with three overs to spare after Steve Brown took 4-29 for Glusburn.

Opener Colin Bottomley (64) and wicket-keeper Jacob Jagger (38) put on 83 for Wilsden's second wicket at Hepworth & Idle on their way to 199-9 and, with Ben Reynard taking 3-35 and Sam Mitchell 3-36, the Westfield Laners could only reply with 162.

James Heseltine (3-20) and Caspar Bean (3-41) were among the wickets for Bradley as visitors Airedale made 150. But, despite 31 from Harry Andrews, Bradley fell seven runs short as Sajaad Khan took 4-21 and Asad Ejaz 4-45.

Gargrave are still bottom by two points but made it two wins in as many weeks by defeating Ingrow by two wickets at Hainsworth Wood Road.

Opener Owen Palmer (39) and last-wicket pair Joe Hoyle (22no) and Glen Palmer (19), who added 45, boosted Ingrow to 151 but it still wasn't enough, despite Jake Hoyle taking 5-32 and Dale Hoyle 3-40 for the hosts.

Cononley have been beaten again and have to share the Third Division leadership with Haworth Road Meths and Riddlesden.

In a match that was reduced to 25 overs per side, Barrowford made 115-6, Jack Hatton taking 3-37 but Cononley only had three men in double figures as they were dismissed for 93, No 8 Michael Beer top-scoring with 22.

Riddlesden lost by one wicket at home to Skipton CI after making a modest 103, having been 75-3 while Michael Bailey was scoring 45.

The visitors were 21-5 and 47-7 but got home on the back of No 7 Tom Mitchum's 42 as Mohammed Qadeer bagged 4-23.

Ingrow St John's ensured that Bradford & Bingley's poor season continues.

The visitors made 166-8 at Aire View, Amjad Mahmood hitting 47 and wicket-keeper and skipper Mohammed Attique 33 as Dave Critchlow took 6-36.

But opener Chris Hahn (42) and Dave's son Zak (26) were the only two players to reach double figures as the hosts were castled for 96 as opening pair Hasnat Bukhari (5-17) and Muhammad Shafiq (4-20) made serious inroads.

Eldwick & Gilstead fared even worse at Denholme, who rattled up 277, with Jack Barker scoring 58, Callum Gerrard 56, Cameron Foster 49no, Adrian Shires 33 and Jack Harrison 30 as young Owen Narey took 5-81 and Chris Childs 4-50.

Only two visitors made more than ten as the twin villages were shot out for 66, Tim Shires (4-14) and Harrison (3-17) doing most of the damage.

Sandy Lane put more distance between themselves and bottom two Haworth West End and Bradford & Bingley with a convincing win at West End.

Skipper Shahbaz Ahmed (76) and Zaid Saleem (61) spurred the visitors to 257-5, and the hosts made a creditable 191 in reply as opener Josh Holt scored 64.

Meanwhile, Bingley Congs are back on top of the Fourth Division as Josh Zenner took 5-21 and new signing Jimmy Dennison 2-41 as hosts Wilsden were restricted to 154, of which opener Alan King made 55 and No 10 Ben Mitchell 30.

Ryan Jennings then made 86 not out after a decent opening stand with John Hill (40) as Congs romped home by nine wickets.

Old hand Mick Addy (3-21 off 12 overs) and young guns Charlie Hall (2-18 off eight) and Ashley Rhodes (3-8 off four) kept visitors Chatburn down to 123 after the home side had made 162-7, of which James Bairstow scored 63 and Robert Scott 38.

Openers Aaran Putko (54) and skipper Adie Ratcliffe (30) put 78 on for Haworth's first wicket at Gargrave on their way to 183-8, Ben England weighing in with 37, and Gary Searby (4-37) and England (3-16) put the home side on the back foot as they were restricted to 97.

No team enjoyed themselves more than Oakworth, however, who blasted 349-5 at Airedale, Matty Lee making 116 and Paul Carter 92 in a first-wicket partnership of 169, Jordan Powell then cracking 73 in his own inimitable fashion, adding 102 with Lee for the third wicket.

Airedale were understandably demoralised after this and replied with 140, of which John Pollard made 43 not out and Simon Hunter 32 as the wickets were shared around.

Glusburn rattled up 239 at home to Foulridge but still lost by two wickets in a last-ball thriller.

Richard McCullough (74) and skipper Mark Johnston (45) led the way for the hosts but the bowling of Josh Banks (3-58) and Johnston (3-59) was not quite enough to derail Foulridge.

Tony Walton was an easy choice as man of the match as Sutton continue to lead the way in the Fifth Division.

He top-scored with 64 in their 137 and then took 6-46 as Long Lee fell 11 runs short in a tense affair at Royd Hill, Andy Greenwood returning 6-25 and Neil Kennedy 3-20 for the losers.

Christian Paulat-Briggs (38) was also instrumental in Sutton's victory but Cowling remain hot on their heels following a five-wicket victory at third-placed Sandy Lane.

Avijeet Ghosh (3-38) and young Jodi Town-Jones (3-16) were successful in Sandy Lane's 165 (Muhammed Ulfat 48, Muhammad Imran Khan 31no) before Sajid Shafait (57no) and Steve Dalby (36) helped to carry Cowling to victory, despite 3-29 from Muhammad Awais.

No win in the division was as comprehensive as Bradley's however, as Skipton CI were trounced by 202 runs at Sandylands.

Teenage opener James Robinson (67), Matt Buckmaster (63) in the middle order and John Drake (55) in the lower order all cashed in as Bradley set an imposing 259-6, and the home side were then rolled over for just 57 as Andy Holmes returned 6-17 and Robinson 2-9.

The efforts of Paul Hogg (31) and Jonathan Crossley (3-34) were not enough to prevent Cononley from suffering a six-wicket defeat at home to Ingrow, for whom Liam Whitney (3-16), Alan Hayes (3-25) and Freddie Jones (31) starred.
