A LAST-BALL win for Oakworth in Division One and one-run victories for Cononley (Division Three) and Crossflatts II (Division Four) take some upstaging but Crossflatts' first team managed it with a run-feast in the top flight at Ryshworth Park.

The hosts piled up 376-3 against Chatburn, with two batsmen nudging 150.

Vikram Bakshi was unbeaten on 149 after hitting ten fours and an incredible 16 sixes, while Joshua Kazar blasted 145, adding 129 with fellow opener Nathan Bradbury (44), 65 with Lee Bailey (29) and 173 with Bakshi as two visiting bowlers clocked up three figures while another reached 93 and James Price's solitary over went for 18.

Understandably shell-shocked, the Ribble Valley visitors could only make 171 in reply as Bakshi confirmed his man-of-the-match status by taking 3-3 off three overs.

Farhaan Abbasi (60), Deepal Dissanayake (42) and Imran Zaman got Ingrow St John's innings off to a good start but their tail also wagged at Wide Lane as No 8 Nadeem Zaman and No 10 Sarum Qureshi both made 34, Ben Howell coping well to take 3-67 in their 253.

Jack Hainsworth gave momentum to Oakworth's reply with 78, and Robert Hopkinson and Howell continued the assault with 85 and 55 respectively as Oakworth won a thriller by three wickets, Zaman taking 3-49.

Bingley Congs' title challenge is fading and they paid for only making 133 at Riddlesden, Mohammed Shahnawaz cracking 62 not out as the home side won by seven wickets in just 13.5 overs.

Sutton stayed tenth, one place above the relegation line, after they were polished off in quick time by Haworth at Royd Hill.

Skipper Craig Thornton (41) and Rob Wilkinson (35) were the main contributors to Sutton's 134 as Damian Rowell took 4-30, Richard Ellis 3-39 and Jamie Rowell 3-54 but Haworth reached their target in just 27.1 overs with only three wickets down, Jamie Rowell hitting 56 and Andy Coatesworth 43 not out.

The most notable performance in the Second Division was Shahbaz Ahmed's 9-33 for Long Lee but there was no chance of a ten-wicket haul as skipper Jamie Robinson had taken the second wicket as Gargrave were tumbled for 92 in reply to Long Lee's 144.

Glusburn were in the runs. Matt Lloyd led the way with an unbeaten 96 for the hosts, Jack Roberts (57), skipper Steve Brown (51no) and wicket-keeper Neil Freeman (37) backing the stylish No 3 up in their 265-4 but Bradley's reply was also creditable.

They made 225 in a game of almost 500 runs, James Heseltine hitting 68, Nick Williamson taking 4-65 and Mark Desgranges 3-29.

Oakworth II stayed second after dismissing Denholme for 139, Richard Taylor making 38 as Jack Ellis took 4-38 and Richard Linden 3-60, Ben Fothergill seeing the second string to a five-wicket victory with an unbeaten 53.

There was little dispute as to the man of the match at Windy Grove as Wilsden's Stuart Wilson took 5-52 and then scored 107 not out as Ingrow were beaten by six wickets, Ben Bright (67) and captain Mark Price (39) doing best for the losers.

The scores were low at Airedale but Mathew Cox played a match-winning innings for the hosts with 71 out of 138 as Cowling's Ajmal Choudhry took 6-32.

Wasim Hussain scored 36 in reply but Mohammed Qadeer Hanif polished off the visitors' tail with 4-32 to leave them 12 short of victory on 127 as Sajjad Khan weighed in with 3-32 and Cox 2-22.

Cononley were hungry for runs in the Third Division, Andrew Starkey scoring an unbeaten 82 for the joint front-runners in a thriller at home to Embsay II.

Helping the skipper were Joel Grainger (47), Freddie Maddocks (45) and Herbie Starkey (39) as they piled up 269-8, but Embsay's response could hardly have been closer as they managed 268-9 as Scott Brook bagged 5-80.

Each side had a century maker at Haworth Road Meths but the hosts won by 47 runs at home to Denholme after making 251-7 (Waj Mahmood 109) as a determined Tim Shires took 4-68.

Jack Barker's 114 was in vain for Denholme, who replied with 204, Michael Dennison's 42 being next best.

Runs were much more precious at Ingrow St John's II, where visitors Riddlesden II were castled for 101, Talib Hussain (4-22) and Hasnat Bukhari (4-30) making life difficult for the batsmen.

Nadeem Tariq's 47 in reply was the key knock as Saints won by three wickets, despite Michael Bailey's 4-55, while Dave Crirtchlow (42 and 4-40) seems to be playing a lone hand for Bradford & Bingley III, Sandy Lane being their latest conquerors by 51 runs after Zaid Saleem (75), Farhan Khalid (51no) and Shahbaz Ahmed (3-24) – the most successful of ten bowlers used – performed for Sandy.

Eldwick & Gilstead were hustled out for 65 at Aire View after Jordan Bayliss had taken 4-11 and Jack Dixon 3-58 in visitors Barrowford's 134, while Haworth West End fared little better with 66 in response to Skipton CI's 212-8.

No-one made above 30 for Division Four leaders Bingley Congs at home to Gargrave but their 191 was more than enough as stand-in skipper Michael Baines took 4-53 as the visitors were restricted to 136.

Thornton-in-Craven's 215-2 in one ball under 30 overs re-emphasised the club's ability with the bat as they chased down Haworth's 212 in Bronteland.

Much like their first team, Airedale were involved in a tight, low-scoring affair at Foulridge, who made only 119 as Giles Wilmore bagged 4-50 and Tariq Khan 3-36.

Wicket-keeper Trevor Cox (40) and Richard Parr (24) put the visitors in a good position in reply at 86-2 but they collapsed to 107 all out to lose by 12 runs, one more run than their first team!

Ten-man Chatburn made 136 at home to Glusburn, Mark Johnston bagging 3-20 and Bryan Hollis 3-48, but the nine men could only reply with 110, wicket-keeper and opening bat Pete Schofield leading the way with 37.

Doug Richardson's 83 for Wilsden deserved better reward than an eight-wicket defeat at Hepworth & Idle, while Crossflatts II won a thriller against Oakworth III by one run.

Wicket-keeper James Bairstow (76) and the in-form Brian Freimanis (66) set up Crossflatts' 235, Michael Davison taking 6-65, but father-and-son pairing Dave (3-28) and Charlie (4-51) helped to pinch it for Crossflatts as Oakworth replied with 234, of which Paul Carter made 69 and Ollie Stell 31.

Life may be a struggle for Sutton's first team but that is not the case for their second team, who lead the way in Division Five.

George Blackwell's 38 not out was the top score in their 215-7, and his score alone was enough to defeat Ingrow, whose last two men did not bat in their 34 all out, young off-spinner Sam Solley taking 6-15.

By the same token, Skipton CI's last man did not take to the wicket as they were dismissed for 105 at Cowling, Ray Jones taking 3-21.

Cowling had earlier made 222-3, Tahir Mahmood (61), Steve Dalby (54) and Sajid Shafait (46) cashing in as fifth bowler used Chris Windle (3-60) took all the wickets.

Andy Holmes (38 and 3-25) performed in both disciplines as Bradley climbed to third with a 101-run victory over Sandy Lane, who dropped to fourth.

Chris Kimberley (60), Neil Lambert (43) and Jack Andrews also shone for Bradley, while Paul Hogg (4-41 and 72) was in the limelight for Cononley, who made short work of ten-man Long Lee.

Hogg added 139 for the third wicket with Tom Broadbent (67no) after the openers had both gone for ducks in the seven-wicket win which lifted Cononley to sixth.
