HARDEN upset promotion-chasing Pool and went a long way towards preserving their Division Two status with a six-wicket in.

The star of the show was Michael O'Flaherty. He took three wickets as third-placed Pool were bowled out for 149, and followed up with 83 to steer his side home.

Only former Northamptonshire batsman David Paynter (47) made any impact for Pool as Harden achieved one of their best results of the season.

It means they now need just three points from their final game at Ben Rhydding on Saturday to condemn Tong Park/Esholt to relegation.

Steeton's indifferent form continued as they suffered an eight-wicket defeat at the hands of Waddilove Cup winners Bilton in Division One.

Openers Andrew Foulds (38) and John Akrigg (36) gave Steeton a solid start but their side saw their innings falter and they were all out for 184.

Bilton cruised to their target with openers Martin Donnelly (92no) and former Yorkshire player Vic Craven (44) sharing a stand of 113.

Silsden remain without a win in Division Three and visit Upper Wharfedale in their final game. Their latest defeat was a seven-wicket reverse against Hall Park.

A total of 130 all out was inadequate as Hall Park eased to victory with Gary Walton making 58 not out..
