ANOTHER maximum 12-point haul for Oxenhope saw them extend their lead at the top of Halifax League Division One.

With second-placed Queensbury frustrated by the rain at Old Crossleyans, the Worth Valley outfit went 11 points clear at the summit thanks to a six-wicket win at Low Moor.

The hosts were asked to bat on a very damp wicket and were soon in trouble at 18-4. It was a position they never recovered from as they finished on 70 all out.

Scott Mallinson (6-35) and Liam Dyson (4-30) did the damage for the visitors before Lewis Hopkinson (30no) provided the backbone of Oxenhope's reply.

There was no play for Denholme Clough at Old Town or Cullingworth at Shelf as both matches were washed out.

It was the same story for Oxenhope II at home to Clayton II as the wet weather ruled.

However, Cullingworth II enjoyed a convincing 100-run win at home to Shelf II, having racked up 178-2 in 28 overs thanks to Tim Welsh (55) and Darren Outlaw (56).

The visitors could only limp to 78-8 in response as George Fletcher (3-31) and Tom Say (3-16) turned the screw.

Adeem Mohammed was Denholme Clough II's star in their five-wicket win at home to Old Town II. He took 6-51 and combined with Mohammed Zabair (3-37) to help skittle the visitors for 110.

Mohammed then made 30 as Alan Parkinson hit 32 to help Clough over the line.
