BROTHERS Chris and Sam Mitchell could be spearheading Wilsden to promotion.

Both played key parts along with Stuart Wilson as they notched a seven-wicket victory over visitors Bradley to stay joint top with Haworth Road Meths II.

Chris Capstick (34) and Neil Andrews (48) added 67 for Bradley's second wicket in their 168, 16-year-old Sam Mitchell taking 5-29 and Wilson 4-54.

However, that target proved no obstacle for Wilsden, who won in the 38th over, Wilson (54no) and 22-year-old Chris Mitchell (38no) adding 68 unbroken for the fourth wicket after wicket-keeper David Henson (40) had laid the platform.

Meths were pegged back for starters by Mohammed Shafiq (4-18) and Adrian Haider (3-20) but ended up with 156, which was 56 too many for cellar dwellers Ingrow St John's II, for whom only Usman Ali (27) and Muhammad Asim (45) made double figures.

Ingrow have work to do to catch the top three but were impressive in their 71-run victory at Glusburn.

Skipper Jake Hoyle (39), Callum Holmes (63), wicket-keeper Ben Bright (64). Ben Weatherall (33) and Dan Scott (21) helped to fire Ingrow to 240-8, Nick Williamson toiling away to take 5-64.

Glusburn captain Steve Brown then played a lone hand with 78 in their 169, Scott grabbing 4-31 and Chris Herbert 3-11.

Airedale must have thought they had a chance at the tea interval after dismissing hosts Barrowford for 136, Scott Ritchie taking 5-34 and Sajaad Khan 3-41, but they could only muster 105 in reply, wicket-keeper Matthew Gill top-scoring with 44.

Oakworth II were the most convincing winners in the section after making 236-7, James Lee and Lewis Wrathall both hitting 51, backed up by Jordan Powell (49no) and Nivard Towers (47).

Chatburn, among four clubs at the bottom separated by a point, were then back in the hut for 63, Tom Fothergill taking 5-34, Richard Linden 2-8 and Lee 2-17.
