DAVID Robinson's return to form could not stop Steeton slipping to the bottom of Aire-Wharfe League Division One as they lost by three wickets at Pool.

The opener has had an uncharacteristically difficult season in the second team but, having stepped up to the firsts, he showed his class with a top score of 64 from 99 deliveries.

He remained steadfast as wickets fell around him, skipper Stevie Pearson (42) and Luke Watson (21) offering some resistance as the visitors were all out for 162 runs from 43.4 overs, Jake Zjilinszky taking four wickets.

Paul Hardcastle (3-43) and James Emmott (4-42) captured seven Pool wickets before John Goldthorp (39no) and Sam Wilkinson (17no) clinched victory.

Kirkstall's win over North Leeds saw them leapfrog the Summerhill Lane side.

A half century from Kuda Samunderu was the highlight of Rawdon’s 176-9 and they were well on the way to victory with Collingham struggling on 99-7 when rain forced the game to be abandoned.

Harden also moved another step closer to relegation with a seven-wicket defeat at Adel in Division Two after being dismissed for 88.

A four-wicket haul from Silsden's Manley du Preez restricted Bardsey to 169 but, despite 40 from opener Chris Meehan and 35 from Saba Khan, the hosts still went down by five runs.
