KEIGHLEY looked to be in a good position to push for victory when rain had the final say in their Bradford Premier League Championship A clash at home to Hunslet Nelson.
Ben Hastie's fine 87 and Luke Chapman's 51 enabled them to post a challenging 194-4 in 42 overs.
The visitors were struggling on 98-5 in reply when play was abandoned, Andy Wear having taken 2-18 and Sam Murphy 2-9.
If rain hindered the first team, it probably helped the seconds at leaders Bowling Old Lane.
The Bradford side were 212-7 and needing a further nine runs to win when play was brought to an early end. Zeeshan Haider made 71 and Shahid Alishan 60 but Ashley Robinson (3-46), Dillon Birkett (2-25) and Ben Jagger (2-26) ensured Keighley were still in the game when it was curtailed.
Earlier, the visitors' total of 220-8 had been built around the efforts of Jack Beetham (82) and Rory Robinson (49) when they batted first.
