OXENHOPE'S return to the top flight of the Halifax League promises to be a poignant one on Saturday.

The promoted Worth Valley side host Queensbury in what will be their first game since the death of their long-serving former skipper Darren Hopkinson from lymphoma cancer last September.

The players are planning to dedicate the match to the popular stalwart, who was just 48 when he passed away.

The game will also mark the official opening of Oxenhope's £50,000 nets complex, which has been entirely funded by the club.

Meanwhile, Cullingworth host Bridgeholme in Division One having also earned promotion last season.
