LEWIS HOPKINSON was a fitting centurion for Oxenhope as they made a winning return to the Halifax League Premier Division at home to Queensbury.
The match was preceded by a remembrance tribute to Lewis' father Darren as it was the club's first game since the former skipper died from cancer last September.
And the youngster produced a knock his dad would have been proud of, top-scoring with an unbeaten 127 as Oxenhope racked up 308-4.
Craig Bartlett (75) and Joe Ousey (51no) were the other main contributors before Queensbury were restricted to 193-7 as Liam Dyson (4-70) and Scott Mallinson (3-49) claimed the wickets.
Cullingworth, who were promoted to Division One, did not enjoy such a good start to life at a higher level.
They went down at home to Bridgeholme by 61 runs after failing to get close to the visitors' total of 167-9.
Chris Welch took 3-49 and Ben Burkill 2-17 and the two players were the main contributors with the bat, making 41 and 43 respectively.
