CRAVEN League Division One champions Crossflatts came a cropper on their travels to Sutton.

On a day when batsmen largely dominated elsewhere across the divisions, they were hustled out for just 77 with Chris Walker taking 5-5.

It took the Royd Hill side just 15 overs to snare the points - though they did lose five wickets - with Ryan Ridehalgh and Sam Solley making 22 each as Jim O’Hara finished with 3-46.

Leaders Haworth lost by three wickets at Ingrow St John’s. The Bronte side posted 160, with Jamie Rowell top scoring on 37 as Naveed Hussain claimed 4-42. The Saints romped home in the 33rd over led by Nadeem Safdar with 76.

Haworth drop to second spot, which allowed Embsay to slot in at the head of the table with the only 100 per cent record. They entertained Haworth Road who amassed a challenging 185-9 with Dil Nawaz hitting 77 and Haroon Ali taking 3-31.

Elliot Stockton (78no) and Dave Wellock (46no) put on an undefeated 87 for the sixth wicket to see their side home by five wickets.

Oakworth are third after beating Denholme by five wickets at Bradford Road. The home side rattled up 203-9 with skipper Richard Taylor scoring 76 and Matty Wear 48 as 14-year-old Harry Hollingsworth bowled superbly to finish with 7-62.

The Cure Hill side chased down that total for the loss of five wickets with Joel Gallagher making 57 and Jack Daniels 36 as Toby Priestley finished with 3-57.

Barrowford visited Hepworth & Idle and snaffled the points by four wickets. The Westfield Lane lads made 152 with Tom Hawksworth making 30 as Jahangir Babar took 4-16 and Abdul Meehan and Shakeel Butt 3-38. Ashir Imdad scored 60 as the Bull Holme side shot home in the 25th over.

Bingley Congs made short work of visitors Riddlesden. The Grange Road side were 43-8 before a bit of tail-wagging got them to 81 as Josh Zenner (4-22) and Matt Roberts (3-13) did most of the damage. The Beckfoot Laners cruised to a six-wicket victory.

Haworth Road II sit top of Division Two after a high-scoring game at home to Long Lee.

No 8 Rob Greenwood crashed 96no to go with Shahid Mahmood’s 82 to get them to a massive 323-8 as Shahbaz Ahmed took 3-48. The Golden View side replied with a respectable 212-7 with Steve Butterfield (45) and Jonathan Green (40) being the main contributors.

Second are Ingrow, who beat Cowling by five wickets at Hainworth. The Coliseum side were dismissed for 130 with Chris Herbert (3-28) and Dan Scott (3-29) being the best bowlers. Ben Bright then made 47no to lead his side to the points.

Ingrow St John’s II are third, also with a 100 per cent record. After being 18-5 at Wilsden, they recovered to finish on 176 as Sam Mitchell claimed 4-61.

Then, despite 82 from David Henson and 35 from Chris Mitchell, the Windy Grove side fell 15 runs short.

Asad Ejaz hit a 55-ball 101no, which included 16 fours, as Airedale walloped 280-6 at Cure Hill with Joel Clarke also making 52. The home side closed on 158-9. James Lee (84) and Paul Carter (39) put on 102 for the second wicket as Lee Rickaby finished with 4-42.

In the red rose derby, Chatburn got their first win of the season as they saw off visitors Foulridge by five wickets.

Glusburn also opened their account with a seven-wicket victory at Sandy Lane.
