THERE'S no stopping Hepworth & Idle's march at the at the top of the Bradford & District Evening League Second Division.

They not only made it seven wins for the season but also notched up the day’s top score of 170-4 from just 16 overs at Bradshaw (Simon McDermott 50no, Gary Sager 42).

In reply, Bradshaw were 86 before they lost their first wicket thanks to Adam Spendelow (53no) and James Thompson (23) but Kevin McDermott’s 3-5 from three overs put an end to any hope of Bradshaw hitting their target as they finished on 121-4.

John Breare remain second, even though Great Horton Park Chapel put an end to their run of five victories at Westfield Lane.

Breare must have thought a sixth straight win was there for the taking after restricting the visitors to 98-5 from their 16 overs, despite a second-wicket partnership of 84 between Ben Burkill (39) and Darren Wilson (36), with Tom Westerman taking 3-20.

Breare must still have fancied their chances at 59-5 but then slumped to 64 all out (Dom Anderson 4-11).

Raja’s are running into form at just the right time and moved into fourth place with a victory at third-placed Crossflatts.

They amassed 161-7 from 18 overs with contributions from Mohammed Saqib (39), Mohammed Sheeraz (33), Mohammed Shoaib (28no) and S Mahmood (28), with Flatts’ most successful bowler being Joe Lynch with 3-44.

A clatter of early wickets reduced Flatts to 48-5 but they recovered well, finishing just 13 runs shy of their target on 148-7 thanks to late knocks from Mayank Singh (40no) and skipper Dom Bennett (31).

Everybody is beating everybody in the First Division as Ciroc moved into joint second after beating top-of-the-table Adil Rashid Cricket Academy by nine runs at East Bierley.

Ciroc posted a par score of 124-5 from their 16 overs, with new signing Ismail Dawood top-scoring with 39.

Openers Mosun Hussain (53no) and Mohammed Bilal (24) gave the Academy a great start but their other batters were unable to maintain the momentum as the Ciroc bowlers took control to restrict them to 115-6.

Denholme remain joint second, despite losing at home to Shelf by five runs.

Zaheer (48) and Mussaver Shah (40) helped Shelf finish on 129-6, and then Mohammed Qadeer’s 3-32 helped the visitors restrict Denholme to 124-7, with Adam Smith top- scoring on 28 not out.

Thornton join Ciroc, Denholme & Shelf on seven points following a two-run victory against Greenfields at the Karmand Centre.

Thornton’s 110-8 from 18 overs (Scott Richardson 27, Amir Humza Hussain 3-17) didn’t look nearly enough against Greenfields’ strong batting line up, but their bowlers, led by Elliot Richardson (4-16), rose to the occasion as Greenfields fell short on 108-7 (Siraj Hussain 29).

Cambing secured their second win of the season by completing the double over Cross Roads & Daisy Hill.

The Windhill outfit, who were 18-6, were bowled out for just 71, thanks to Umair Hussain (3-17) and an amazing 4-0 from two Ayaz Khan overs.

He was then taken out of the attack and did not return.

Cambing were struggling on 33-5 until Khan showed his all round ability by making 26 not out to see Cambing home on 76-6 with 2.4 overs to spare.

Tomorrow's games are - Division One: Ciroc v Denholme, Salem Athletic v Greenfield, Thornton v Adil Rashid Cricket Academy. Division Two: Cross Roads & Daisy Hill v Crossflatts, Great Horton Park Chapel v Bradshaw, Hepworth & Idle v Cambing, Raja’s v John Breare (at Mayfield).
