JOE Finnigan is proving to be a key figure in Wakefield St Michael's bid to win the All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League Conference title.

He once again demonstrated his worth to his team by taking 5-21 and making an unbeaten 71 as St Michael's defeated Crossbank Methodists by eight wickets after dismissing them for 111.

Third-placed Great Preston proved too strong for bottom team Rodley as they ran out winners by 88 runs.

James Marston (74) and Jacob Wright (56) helped Great Preston to make 250-7 before bowling out Rodley for 162.

John Waterfield (40) and Ryan Callis (39) were the top scorers for Rodley.

Sandal's opening bowler Sam Noden continued his rich vein of form by following up the 7-2 he took against Gildersome last week with 6-37, but it wasn't enough to spare his side from a 51-run defeat against Azaad.

Hanif Mahboob (67) and Amjad Hussain (42) helped Azaad to make 192, a score Sandal couldn't match as they were dismissed for 141.

Scott Douglas (40) and Danny Riley (36) were the best of the Sandal batsmen, while Imran Mahboob (3-28) and Waheed Ahmed (3-30) were Azaad's key bowlers.

Heckmondwike & Carlinghow all-rounder Paul Cooper was in top form as his side defeated Windhill & Daisy Hill by 83 runs.

Cooper made an impressive 118, an innings containing seven sixes and ten fours, as he helped his side post a score of 260.

Usman Qureshi chipped in with 33 as Byron Greenwood picked up 4-49.

Windhill were all out for 177, with Alex Antoine impressing again with 66 from 40 balls.

Greenwood chipped in with 34 but that man Cooper (3-33) had the last laugh.

Gildersome, bowled out for just 14 by Sandal in their previous game, bounced back with a 71-run win over Adwalton.

Martin Morley's knock of 43 helped Gildersome to make 152, despite the efforts of Andrew Stolzenberg (4-21).

Adwalton struggled in reply and were bowled out for 84, with Ashley Marsh taking 3-29.

Bowlers were the key performers in the clash between East Leeds and Oulton.

Oulton's Gary Dawber (4-26) and Jonathan Anson (3-51) bowled out East Leeds for 154 before Alan Olbison (4-54) and Will Storey (3-10) hit back to dismiss Oulton for 124 and secure a 30-run win for their side.
