Keighley’s Chris Melling helped Europe make it three Mosconi Cup victories over America in a row last night.
Leading 9-6 after Wednesday’s session, the hosts only needed two of the five singles matches in the final session but the States fought back in a thrilling climax at York Hall.
They won the first three matches before Melling calmed home nerves with a 5-2 win over Brandon Shuff to put Europe 10-9 up.
Holland’s Nick Van Den Berg then beat Mike Dechaine 5-2 to spark wild scenes of celebration.
