Icy weather wipes out matches on Bradford Council pitches

All matches due to take place on Bradford Council-owned pitches this weekend have been postponed.

Football and rugby fixtures scheduled to take place on school pitches are also off as the severe weather continues to bite hard.

Ian Bairstow, strategic director for environment and sport at Bradford Council, said: “We will contact all league secretaries that we can to let them know about the situation.”
