Keighley's Taekwondo star Leah Moorby was special guest at Keighley Cougars for their first game of the season at the weekend against Whitehaven.
The 14-year-old flies to Korea with the GB team for two weeks training at the University of Seoul on March 3 before heading for Taiwan to compete in the Junior World Championships.
Leah and her dad Gary – who is a former head coach at Cougars – had pre-match lunch with the directors and sponsors before cheering the team on to a great home win.
She was presented with a Cougars jersey at half-time to put towards the raffle at a fund-raising night for her trip at Branshaw Gold Club on March 1.
Leah said: “It was great to go and watch the Cougars with my dad. We had a great day out and they won which made it even better.”
Cougars director Neil Cullen said: “On behalf of everyone here at the Cougars we would like to wish Leah the very best of luck in the World Champioships. It’s great to see a local youngster doing so well in sport.”
