TEAM Appleyard Macadam Racing has parted company with youngster Jake Dixon.

Five fourth-place finishes and eighth in the final championship standings masks what could have been viewed as a difficult season.

Electronic issues over a three-round period and then crashing out of possibly two podium finishes illustrate better a frustrating year.

Keighley outfit Appleyard Macadam Racing will continue with a one rider team in 2015.

And thanks to a new sponsor, the team can offer a whopping £20,000 bonus for a British Supersport Championship win.

The team has always looked to support the future of British motorcycle racing and this will be no different in 2015 as negotiations open with several young riders.

Winning the championship is a tough challenge but a single-rider team will focus the attention of everyone and will offer another rider the opportunity to lease a fully prepared machine.

This will include a spare engine, wheels, space in the awning and transport to and from all meetings. The rider will merely have to arrange his own crew and parts.
