KEIGHLEY'S Ibrahim Nadeem didn't need the luck of the Irish when he fought in the Monkstown Dublin Box Cup.
He unanimously won all three rounds in defeating Irish champion Craig Cavanagh (Crumlin) in the 1999 45kg category at Holy Child Community School, Sallynoggin in Dublin.
"Ibrahim is more of a good all-rounder and has a lovely jab, although he can mix it if necessary," said his coach Mike Jelly from Bury Amateur Boxing Club. "He listens to what he is told and has a good work-rate."
Though he may box in some club shows, the next major challenge for Ibrahim, who is the cousin of fellow Keighley boxer Muhammad Ali, is likely to be the National Association of Boys' and Girls' Club Championships in November.
