KEIGHLEY & Craven Athletic Club are celebrating national success.

Their under-13 boys, who consisted of Louis Hudson, Rhys Watmough and Harvey Lewis, won the team event at the English Road Running Association's (ERRA) National Young Athletes Road Relays at Birmingham's Sutton Park last Sunday.

Louis posted an opening leg of 14min 02sec to put Keighley & Craven sixth but their real hero was Rhys, who had to pick himself up after a nasty fall, during which he was trampled.

Finding himself several hundred metres behind the field, he ran a 14min 08sec leg despite being in pain, after which they were third.

Bringing Keighley & Craven home was Harvey, whose 13min 48sec was the fifth fastest leg of the day.

The victory backed up their Northern Road Relay and Fell Runners' Association team championship triumphs.
