Oxenhope’s Team 22 rider Libby Denby continued her run of good form, racing in the Women’s second, third and fourth category event held at Pimbo in Skelmersdale on Sunday.
Pimbo is traditionally a fast circuit held on a wide and flat two-mile course, which featured 18 laps. Several riders tried to break free throughout but the challenging head wind and dominant Team 22 tactics resulted in a high-speed bunch sprint finish.
That favoured Libby and her fast-finishing team-mate Sam Verill, who came third and second respectively, from a bunch of around 40 riders.
It was a great day out for the junior team, with four of the girls finishing in the top 10 – a great achievement considering junior riders have to use restricted gears until they progress to the senior ranks.
