A STRONG and chilly northerly wind greeted the riders for last Wednesday evening's Bronte Wheelers 10-mile time trial on the Cracoe to Skipton course which made conditions tough for the riders on the homeward leg.
The elements did not affect Skipton professional Pete Williams of the One Pro team who stormed to victory in 21min 34secs.
In second place, and also claiming the veterans prize, was 46-year-old Simon Beldon riding for SSLL RT in 22min 06sec.
Only one second behind was Steve Ayers riding for VC Bradford in 21min 07sec. The fastest junior was Will Weatherall from Hetton riding for Hope FR in 26min 16secs.
