CONDITIONS were very windy for Bronte Wheelers' latest ten-mile time trial on the Kildwick course.
It made the outward leg very difficult and the homeward leg strangely not much better, leaving most riders scratching their heads!
However, this did not seem to dull the speed of winner Rob Weir, riding for Ilkley CC, who recorded an excellent time of 21min 02secs.
In second place was All Terrain's Steve Colloby, recording a time of 21:39, and third was team-mate Matt Bulmer in 21:48, who also scooped the first veterans prize with a plus of 4:34 on standard.
Fastest on fixed gear of 87 inch, and also the oldest competitor, was 69-year-old John Driver, of Bronte Wheelers, in a time of 25:50.
