Silsden Storm u-11s 56 Huddersfield u-11s 26
HAVING only lost two of their last 11 games, Storm's confidence was high and they started well.
Ellis Sands, Joe Spencer and Demi Lea Greig all made barnstorming runs before the first try came courtesy of Jacob Haigh, who received the ball from a Joe Beck offload.
This was followed up by further tries from Spencer, Joe Beck, Jack Beck and Greig, though they did let in three tries at the other end.
With Silsden having a full squad of 20 compared with just 11 players for Huddersfield, players were swapped at half-time.
Storm turned on the style as Jack Stephenson and Shaun Smith were unstoppable, both scoring tries from distance. Robson Weir got in on the act with a fine dash and controlled the game as usual, breaking down the opposition.
Jack Beck added a brace to cap off a fine victory, though credit to Huddersfield for not giving in and adding three tries themselves.
Silsden are now looking forward to their last match of a terrific season at home to a very tough Thornhill Trojans outfit.
Awards, Man of the Match – Jack Beck; Opposition Man Of the Match – Robson Weir; Supporters'Player/Magic Moment – Shaun Smith; Player of the Week – Joe Spencer.
