DENHOLME'S Andy Brooksbank finished runner-up in the Clubman Class A at Spen Valley Motor Club's second Championship trial at Rockingstones Quarry in Huddersfield.

He was pipped by three penalties by David Petty, who recorded his second Clubman class victory in seven days.

Brooksbank's daughter Olivia ran off with the Youth Class B, maintaining her national winning form.

Teenager William Tolson won the novice class riding the full championship course but it was Bradford's Class B youngster Charlie Smith who set the standard in the class by scoring the lowest penalties.

Huddersfield Falcon member Nick Eagleton headed Clubman B. Forty four riders competed over a ten section, four lap course while three youngsters rode electric-powered machines and rode a shorter course.

Youth Class A: Aaron Carter (Beta) 59. Youth Class B: Charlie Petty (Beta) 28.

Youth Class B: Mason Carter (Beta) 83.
