THE FIRST Bronte Wheelers-Neophix ten-mile time trial on the Cracoe to Skipton and back course took place on a bitterly cold night.
The temperature was seven degrees but the northerly breeze made it feel more like minus seven.
The winner was host club member Darren Caines in an excellent time of 24min 21secs, followed closely by Nelson Wheelers' Chris Smedley in 24:35. In third was Bronte’s Steve Lloyd in 25:43.
Hopefully, conditions will be a little warmer for this week's event.
