A COLD and blustery easterly wind made conditions tough in both directions for the latest Bronte Wheelers-Neophix ten-mile time trial on the Cracoe to Skipton and back course.

However the conditions did not dull the speed of host club rider Steve Ayers, who not only won but set a course personal best in a blisteringly fast 21min 29 secs, which is a phenomenal time considering there is almost 500 feet of climbing.

In second place was George Fox riding for Paul Milnes Cycles in 23min 31secs and third was Paul Braithwaite riding for Pendle Forest. Fastest tandem was John and Catherine Rigby-Jones riding for Ilkley CC.
