KEIGHLEY'S James Lund was one of three City of Bradford record-breakers at the North East Region Youth and Senior Championships at Sunderland Aquatic Centre.

His new club mark came in the senior 1500 metres freestyle in 17min 32.29sec, while he was also sixth in the senior 200m breaststroke and eighth in the senior 400m individual medley.

Guiseley's Sam Wardle (2) and Ilkley's George Wilde were City of Bradford's other record-breakers.

Meanwhile, Keighley's Sophia Basaraba is one of three club members who have been picked for the Swim England North East Region Swimming Training programme 2017 along with Cameron Green and Hermione Roe.

Their selection will enable them to participate in three camps in July, September and November to further their swimming development.

Basaraba has also qualified for the England National Summer Meet at Sheffield Ponds Forge from August 2-6.
