CONDITIONS were warm and muggy with a slight south easterly breeze for last Wednesday ten-mile time trial on the Kildwick to Skipton and back course.
The winner was Richard Bideau with a time of 19min 38secs only an handful of seconds outside the record, in second place was Bronte’s Steve Ayers with a course personal best of 20:21 and third was Bronte’s Steve Lloyd also with an impressive personal best of 22:51.
The Bronte Trio of Steve Lloyd, Ben Cook and Darre Caines rode the National 3-up team time trial promoted by Otley CC, the hours of practice and dedication paid off and like a well-oiled synchronised machine they covered the 50km course in 1hour 13min 37secs to snatch the second veteran’s prize.
