CONDITIONS could not be more contrasting for Bronte Wheelers – Neophix Engineering’s first two time trials of the season.
The first was the Skipton to Bolton Abbey and back 20-kilometre cycling time trial where winds were light and temperature in the 20s.
The winner in a course record time was Pendle Forest’s Richard Bideau in 26 minutes 36 seconds.
Second place was Bronte’s own Steve Ayers in a course personal best of 27.23 and in third place was Pendle Forest’s Paul Braithwaite in a time of 28.35.
The second event was run on the Cracoe to Skipton course in cool and blustery conditions with a heavy shower constantly threatening.
The winner was Paul Braithwaite in 23.13, in second place was Cameron Blake, riding for Prologue RT, in 23.27 and in third was Bronte’s Ben Cook in 24.27.
