KEIGHLEY Albion raised just short of £1,000 for the Danny Jones fund from collections made at their matches last weekend.
Albion, who have a dozen teams ranging from under-sevens to seniors, raised funds at all home and away games that took place against teams from Leeds, York, Barnsley, Featherstone and Huddersfield.
Club secretary John Normington said: “Many members of Albion are supporters of Keighley Cougars and when we heard about the tragedy at the London Skolars we wanted to do whatever we could to contribute to the fund for Danny’s family.
“Danny has supported the club through attending the coaching sessions with the Cougars squad where they take sessions with all our teams.”
