COUGARS reserve-team player Aaron Levy has been selected to play for the Great Britain Pioneers on their trip to Bosnia next month.

Levy, who is the son of Cougars academy director Frank Levy, also plays for Victoria Rangers and Newcastle University.

He has also captained the North-East regional team this season, earning him inclusion in the Pioneers’ squad.

The tour will see the travelling party play some games but also spread the rugby league gospel and coach local youngsters in Bosnia.

The trip is self-funded so Levy has to raise the money himself and a bucket collection at Cougar Park has helped him get off the mark.

Bolton Villas cricket club have organised a race night on June 26 as the youngster bids to raise the £700 he requires to make the trip.

Any funds raised over that figure will go directly to the Danny Jones Fund.

*COUGAR Park will stage the Championship fixture between Halifax and London Broncos on Saturday, June 27 (kick-off 6pm).

The match has been switched to Keighley because of delays over resurfacing work at The Shay, Halifax's home stadium.
