KEIGHLEY Cougars were handed a home tie against League One rivals Coventry Bears in last night's Ladbrokes Challenge Cup third round draw.

It will be the Bears’ second visit to Cougar Park after last season’s emotional clash in front of a bumper crowd of 4,066 last May, which was Keighley's first game following the death of Danny Jones.

Cougars’ iPro Sport Cup opponents on Saturday, Wath Brow Hornets, were handed a draw against Toulouse Olympique, who have returned to play in the English competition after a five-year absence.

The draw threw up two derbies between League One clubs and their local amateur teams, with Rochdale Mayfield hosting Rochdale Hornets and York City Knights being paired with York Acorn, one of nine surviving amateur outfits from the first two rounds.

Ties will be played over the weekend of February 27-28.

The draw was made in Wrexham by Lance Todd Trophy winner Lee Briers and former England hooker Paul Rowley.

Third round draw: Hunslet v Barrow, Oxford v Castleford Lock Lane, Rochdale Mayfield v Rochdale Hornets, Pilkington Recs v London Skolars, Kells v Hemel Stags, West Hull v Doncaster, York City Knights v York Acorn, Siddal v Newcastle Thunder, North Wales Crusaders v University of Gloucestershire, Wath Brow Hornets v Toulouse, Keighley v Coventry, Featherstone Lions v South Wales Scorpions.
