Keighley Cougars have signed Will Milner on loan from Featherstone Rovers until the end of the season.

The versatile youngster is a product of the academy system at Super League outfit Warrington Wolves and joined Rovers following his release from the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

He played regularly in Fev's reserves, featuring several times against Cougars, before his first-team debut in March 2015 at Whitehaven.

Milner went on to become a regular in the Rovers first team under current coach Jon Sharp. He has 22 appearances to date, including the Championship Shield final victory over London Broncos at Widnes last October, before suffering injury in a defeat to Leigh Centurions in April.

Milner said: “I’m delighted to come down here on loan.

“I have a couple of mates who already play here, such as Adam Brook and a few in the reserves side also, so I’m looking forward to getting started and hopefully getting a few games.

“I’m quite a versatile player. My preferred position is stand-off but I’m quite a big lad and can play in the centres and the back-row if needed too but I don’t mind playing anywhere (coach) Paul March needs me.

“I have massive experience already by playing around some of the boys over at Featherstone, most of whom have played in Super League, which I learnt a lot from.

“But, I’m now at a stage in my own career where I need regular game time and Keighley have given me that opportunity so I’m ready to get going.”
