KEIGHLEY Cougars attracted crowds to the University Academy Keighley for a family fun day.
More than 350 people joined the rugby league players for the event this month, sponsored by the town’s Airedale Shopping Centre.
Team member Brendon Rawlins hosted four hours of festivities in honour of his 10-year testimonial with the Cougars.
Attractions included a bouncy castle and face painting, and a chance to get ‘stuck in to the scrum’ at the Aussie-themed barbecue.
Brendon said he was proud to have been part of the Cougars team for 10 years.
He said: “To celebrate I wanted to organise an event that would not only welcome the local community but as an opportunity to thank the fans for their support over the years.
“I’m especially proud that we’re supporting the Danny Jones Defibrillator Fund, which helps to keep his memory alive and carry on the good work the initiative is doing."
The fund aims to provide life-saving equipment for community clubs and junior teams across the country.
