Keighley finally got their hands on the Championship Trophy at the Pennine League annual awards night.
And that was not the only honour for Keith Dixon’s title-winners as hooker Danny Barrett was named the Pennine League player of the year, having already won the players’ player of the year at the amateur rugby league club’s end-of-season presentation. Other winners at the Keighley awards night were: Chris Price (player of year), Jamie Stephenson (young player of year), Kris Gott (top try-scorer), Owen Palmer (most improved player), Dale Spencer (club man of year).
Keighley, who are running two sides in the 2013-14 campaign, start pre-season training at Rose Cottage, Utley, on July 9 (6.30pm) when old and new players will be welcome.
Their AGM also takes place at the Engineers Club this Saturday (2pm).
