Hunslet Parkside u-13s 24 Keighley Albion u-13s 6

ALBION gave all they had at joint leaders Hunslet Parkside and for 33 minutes looked more than capable of getting their reward.

Outstanding tackles by Alex Downes and Zac Blackburn on the rampaging Joe Burgess - part of the famous rugby league family - was backed up by strong defending to keep the deficit to just six points.

Harry Webster’s trademark long run down the right and successful hand-off saw him touch down under the posts to level the score.

However, Hunslet’s other powerhouse, Elvis Oguwuike, added to his earlier try by scoring a second half hat-trick to take the game away from the visitors.

Match awards went to Joel Livock, Edward Croft, Harry Emmott and Matty Smith.

Keighley Albion u-12s 26 Garforth Tigers u-12s 10

Albion made a good start, solid tackling and movement off the ball leading to Seth Benn outpacing the defence from the halfway line.

Lewis Reynoldson and Tommy Lowrey wore down the Tigers' defence, which led to captain Josh Catton getting on the scoresheet.

Garforth scored a well-worked try just before the break to make it 10-4 to Albion.

Early in the second half, Sam Lewis Gillum burst through to score, soon followed by Benn's second of the match.

Phil Sabin scored the final try after another weaving run from Josh Catton split the Tigers line apart. Lewis Reynoldson kicked his third conversion to boost the scoreline.

Albion's winning run came to an end against a Brotherton side who were comfortable winners despite the close scoreline.

Shorn of a number of key personnel, Keighley lacked cohesion in attack and reverted to one-up runners. Their effort could not be faulted and Lewis Bloodworth cleverly scooted over from acting half, giving Kern Weatherill the chance to convert.

Brotherton hit straight back but Albion regained the lead when, despite the attention of four would-be tacklers, Bloodworth offloaded to the supporting Riley Corby to race over. Going up the hill, Keighley could not hold out before half-time as the visitors drew level.

They took the lead in the second half but Albion replied when Ben McParland slalomed his way over, with Weatherill adding the conversion.

After a fantastic cover tackle from Keir Claxton, Albion failed to react on the next tackle and allowed a Brotherton winger to canter 60 metres to secure the win.

Parents award went to Ethan Brewster, with Tyler Moyles taking the players player award and McParland scooping the opposition gong.

Keighley Albion u-8s 40 Crigglestone u-8s 16

Albion's great run of form continued against Crigglestone. Aaron Horner started the scoring off, with other tries coming from Hamza Butt and Benjamin Horsfield.

Leading 20-4 at half-time, Butt added another try after the break. Oliver Robinson powered through the defence to set up Horsfield for his hat-trick and 50th try of the season before Ellis Thackrah finished off the scoring.
