Worth Village 38 Newsome Panthers 18
Worth hit back from a half-time deficit to seal the points.
The first half was a struggle for Village, with their Huddersfield visitors dominating to score three tries. Sam Kelly and Joe Buckley replied with tries for the hosts as Luke Whiteley and Jamie Plumb produced some great runs.
The visitors led 18-10 at the break but this was a game of two halves. Village's defence was second to none, with great tackling from Ross Knowles and Nick Hird, who has just come back from injury. Hird crossed the line, with Rob Spencer (2) and Cal Hudson also scoring tries to complete Worth's comeback.
Village have a trip to Oldham to play Higginshaw on Saturday.
