ON Friday night the Harlequins believed they had a 20-man squad but by Saturday morning that number had dwindled to 11.
Those who played gave their all against an Illingworth side who clearly enjoyed the muddy conditions at Burgess Fields.
Determined defensive play from Craig Nicholson, Milky Skinner and man of the match Ryan Hawkins couldn't prevent Illingworth taking a 34-0 half-time lead.
Daz Palmer, Dean Williamson and Ali Feather worked hard to get the Quins going forward and Daz Greenwood, Nicholson and Nicky Smith all went close.
Illingworth added two more tries and a conversion in the second half while the battling Quins opened their account with a Nicholson drop goal.
Quins are at home to Mirfield Stags on Saturday (2.30pm).
