Keighley's oldest continuous amateur rugby league club, Keighley Albion ARLFC, is celebrating a distinguished anniversary in September, marking 60 outstanding seasons at the top of the amateur game.
Starting off at the Theaproyd Field at Lawkholme - now mostly under the Hardings roundabout - and then moving in the 1960s to Highfield where they still play.
Through the years scores of players have graduated to the professional game and even, in Terry Hollindrake's case, to international honours.
The club's success would also not have been possible without all the hard work and time put in by countless administrators and officials working tirelessly for the good of the game.
It was often said that Albion were a family and now the club are asking as many of that family to join with them in an Anniversary Celebration in Victoria Hall on Saturday, September 13, with the doors opening at 7pm.
Entertainment and refreshments will be provided and tickets costing £12.50 are available from Richard Fryers on 01535 655876, Paul Moore on 01535 663914 or Terry Caddy on 01274 824467.
One of the greatest Albion teams was the 1954-55 side when Keighley Hall of Fame legend Norman Foster coached the side to the Bradford Cup, Halifax Cup, Keighley League Championship and Keighley Cup triumphs.
