Doncaster Phoenix 63 Keighley 15

Keighley, decimated by injuries, unfortunately lost yet another player when second row Jimmy Walker was concussed in the warm-up.

With a weak team, this was always going to be a difficult fixture and so it proved. Doncaster were first on the scoreboard with a try for captain Andy Ellis, converted by Ben Millar.

Keighley regained their composure and some clever work from Danny McGee took play into the opposition territory and Olly Mitchell scored a penalty.

Then impressive winger Sam Walker kicked ahead and won the race to touch down, Mitchell adding the extras.

Towards the end of the half the floodgates opened, with two tries for big centre Jono Storey and one for hooker Scot Plevey. Millar added all the conversions.

The second half was a similar affair. Although Keighley worked hard, they were undone with another try for Storey, who came through on a crash ball, Millar converting.

Against the run of play Walker snatched an interception on his own 22 to race away to score under the posts, converted by Mitchell.

From that point onward it was one-way traffic. Doncaster, working off good forward play, moved the ball wide leading to four converted tries.
