Keighley made a great start when Jack Smith won the ball and ran the full length of the pitch to touch down under the posts, Gregor Curr converting.
There was some good passing between Nathan Pickles, Kristian Bealey-Kay, Smith, Denon Sokee and Toby Stephens before Salem won the ball back and levelled the score.
Salem won a scrum but were thwarted by good defence from Curr, Joey Van Suilichem and Bealey-Kay. However, Salem battled to get the ball back and made it 14-7 at half-time, Keighley being held up just short before the whistle blew.
Keighley maintained some good defence in the second half, with tackles from Bealey-Kay and Johnny Atherton, but Salem scored three tries in quick success to lead 33-7.
The hosts had the last word when Bealey-Kay went over for their second try.
