Cleckheaton may have only lost one match so far in 2013 and won five out of five in SSE North One East but are not expecting any complacency on Saturday at mid-table Wheatley Hills.

“That will disappear in the first five minutes,” said Cleckheaton’s fixture secretary Alan Bentley. “Wheatley Hills will be up for it and they are a big, strong side.”

With only a league defeat against Northern in the calendar year, the Moorenders lead the fledgling table by a point from Pocklington, who have also won all five.

The visitors are hoping that centre Lee Queeley will be fit.

Bentley said: “Lee went off inside the first ten minutes of our home match against Alnwick with a cut mouth. We want him to be available because he is one of our better players.

“Also Ryan Piercy didn’t play last week but is back in the second row, while Ben Thrower will hopefully play 80 minutes for us at hooker as Ryan Bennett is in the second team at flanker.”

Keighley are getting nearer to that first victory in SSE Yorkshire Division One, and will be hoping to crack it at home to Pontefract, who are only five points better off.
