THORPE Roy Roy died suddenly in Salford Royal Hospital, on Sunday, January 7, after a long illness courageously borne. Devoted husband of the late Margaret, beloved and inspirational brother, uncle, stepfather, grandfather and great-grandfather and a true friend. A life lived quietly and to good purpose.
